Happy Canvas Day (CanvasWiki Released!)

Today I am happy to announce the public release of CanvasWiki, a ColdFusion-based wiki implementation. License information may be found in the readme.txt, and as always, if you find this application useful, drop by the wishlist.

This is the last of my DRK projects. I think everyone should really give props to Macromedia/Adobe for the DRKs. They supported multiple projects from me that the community uses and were kind enough to let me open source the projects after a certain amount of time. That is very generous of them.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar DRK = Developer Resource Kit. Basically, a CD of cool applications (some small, some big) in various Adobe technologies. I was involved in quite a few of them. They are no longer being released though.

Stephen Cassady's Gravatar One of the items that always made me excited about Macromedia is the fact they didn't let the products in the DRK stagnate when it was obvious you wanted to release them. It would have been easy for them to just go "it's released". Instead, they allowed them to be supported out to the public (becuase of your interest is doing so I suspect). I think is was a whole "mind set" that there wasn't any loss in releasing your work (after a time), so why get in the way of the community. It's nice to see that Abobe has allowed all the work to complete this way, and it's an encouraging sign. :-) Plus, we get to recognize your briliance this way! Ahhhh! the light! it burns!
