New Google service: Google Notebook

Google has released (yet another) free service, the Google Notebook. It is a research type tool allowing you to save clips from various web sites into a notebook. I'm not quite sure how useful it is, but it seems handy.

I'm building a notebook for ColdFusion, which I've shared and may be useful to others (once I get content in). It appears though that I can't let others add to the notebook, which is unfortunate. If multiple people could add to the notebook, it could turn out like digg or del.ioc.us.

Lee Surma's Gravatar I think this is an offshoot of JJ Allaire's company. I read something about them being bought out.

Alex Aguilar's Gravatar Google deliverd with gmail and calendar but not for
rss feeds or notes. I instead use bloglines and backpack, respectively.

Jason Bartholme's Gravatar I've been using the Google Notebook for the last few days and I have to admit it is pretty cool for snippets. If are digging around for a function or an obscure block of code, just highlight the text, right-click and it adds it to the application.

Also, I used it to do research on click traffic. I added quickly added about 10 notes and was able to put it all together quite easily.

I'm a fan of Google so take what I say with a grain of salt.
