Friday Insanity
First off, sorry for my lack of postings (and replying to emails). I went straight from MAX to meetings at Broadchoice. I had to share this story though and I think you guys might enjoy it.
I went to the gym this morning and climbed on a treadmill. I turned the TV to CNN where the lead story was about the attorney general collapsing. Unfortunately the closed captioning wasn't working so I couldn't get any more information. I changed to the next channel which just so happened to be Fox News. I figured I could live with Fox for 30 minutes as long as the CC worked. Unfortunately it didn't - but the News Alert at the bottom of the screen left me... well a bit surprised.
Analyst predicts food riots and roving gangs in US by 2012
Seriously. This was a news alert (bright red UI, etc) on Fox this morning. Now that I'm reading it again I wonder if I dreamed it instead.

Classic! They'll be roving gangs and mass murderers on the loose and most of us will be dead. However, they'll be plenty of alternative energy for the gangs and murders to get around and destroy us.

But what is stranger is that the guy who wrote this blog entry bears a striking resemblance to you Mr Camden..
There are some strange things a foot in the universe I tells ya.
Reading the Wikipedia entry on the french revolution, it is not hard to see similarities w/ the US today. Food Riots and roving gangs seem to be a "Absolute worst case" scenario. I can't fathom the US society degrading to that in five years without some serious "beyond our control" event ( Nuclear War, Alien invasion, ice caps melting, etc.. )
I could be in denial.
I hope I haven't just bored everyone!? :)
The wife thinks you might want to start budgeting for better armor.... It seems a bit lacking. The face is good!
FOX couldn't prevent Obama getting in, so now they're planning on removing optimism for his term.
Yup yup.

(I remember reading something (Paul Johnson?) about "brioche" also being a term bakers used for the loaf overflow and scrapings which bakers discarded, but cannot locate a source on The Web.)
I like the helmet, Ray, but you've got to get some high-UV protection on your shoulders there.... ;-)
Wouldnt be the first time, Independence Day and War of THe World (the old one) got publicity in this same manner.
